TextrecruitA lot of advancements have taken place in the mobile recruiting space over the past several years, but one simple capability was left in the dark – the text message.

Texting with a job seeker or candidate might not sound like a new concept, if it is being done through a recruiters personal or company cell phone – which doesn’t allow employers to do any tracking, reporting, data storage, or remain compliant. That’s changing now with a new startup called TextRecruit.

What was missing? The technology for recruiting teams to organize, send and track messages to candidates to determine the effectiveness. TextRecruit was created to provide a central location for recruiting teams to send, manage and track candidate text messages at scale, without use of a personal phone. This web based solution can be used stand alone or can be fully integrated into an applicant tracking system.

I had a chance to catch up with TextRecruit’s Co-Founder and CEO, Erik Kostelnik, to learn more about the product and he shared:

TextRecruit is the first centralized texting platform built exclusively for recruiters. It’s like a texting version of Constant Contact and WhatsApp, built for recruiters.

Kostelnik also shared they had over 100 users from 65 clients and spanning multiple industries sign up within the first 2 weeks of their soft launch.

Using TextRecruit is very easy – you simply add your prospects, set up a campaign or send your message, and track the results. Learn more about the TextRecruit product with their short video tutorial here.
