In 2008, I created The Talent Buzz and the reaction far outweighed my highest expectations. On what would have been the 3rd Anniversary of the site, I am thrilled to share a complete overhaul, expansion, and name… And, a completely new site, Talent HQ.
My original goal was to share ideas on recruiting, create some dialogue, and provide some education (for both readers and myself). I hoped that my real world experience as a talent acquisition and human resources leader would add balance to some of the ideas put forth by peers, industry thought leaders and consultants.
Over the last three years, because of many good friends and colleagues in the industry, various media partners, and “toeing the line” a few times, The Talent Buzz grew to reach an audience of 75,000 recruiting and HR Professionals, and even more job seekers. The Talent Buzz has won multiple awards and is now aggregated in several online publications. I hope that the result of our growth is being able to help more people along the way.
Reflecting back, I wouldn’t have expected to grow our community and site as much as we have. And while I wasn’t quite sure what to expect then, I knew I enjoyed writing, as well as meeting and learning from a lot of great people.
With Talent HQ I want to create a more holistic view of Talent Management. Talent HQ will strive to be a real world resource to its current readers and build on its past success to reach Job Seekers, along with Talent Acquisition and HR Pros globally. While Talent “Headquarters” (the name) and site are new, you’ll still be able to find all the original content from The Talent Buzz; from past articles and presentations, to white papers and video interviews.
As always, I welcome your feedback and comments during this time of transition and I hope that we continue to earn your visits to Talent HQ.
