Financial Jobs: Announcing FINS.com from The Wall Street Journal 1 Comment

Earlier today, The Wall Street Journal announced their launch of FINS.com, a new career site for financial professionals.

The site boasts coverage of all major financial sectors with associated jobs and news, in-depth research on companies, and daily columns offering advice and career insight.

The good news for job seekers is FINS.com is free to use, like most job boards.  For Recruiters, there are plenty of opportunities to open up the checkbook through ads, Resume search, and standard job postings.

My initial assessment after browsing the site is more hype than it’s worth.  There are far more effective and efficient tools on the market to attract and recruit quality talent.  For job seekers, the same jobs are posted on a variety of other sites, including the aggregators.  The research and articles will likely be the biggest benefit of all if there is one.

FINS.com is part of The Wall Street Journal Digital Network, which comprises the flagship WSJ.com, MarketWatch.com, Barrons.com and AllThingsD.com.
